Where we install storm shelters

Our installation area covers the City of St. Louis and the Missouri counties around it — St. Louis County, St. Charles, Jefferson, Franklin, Warren and Lincoln — plus Madison, St. Clair and Monroe counties in Illinois. Four places get a closer look below, because their tornado record, housing and permit rules change which shelter fits. For any other address, the local code and the site get checked before a quote goes out.

Four areas in detail

St. Louis City — the 2025 tornado path through Forest Park and north St. Louis; housing with a 1938 median build year; Executive Order 90 rebuild permits; sirens now automated.

North St. Louis County — Bridgeton, Hazelwood, Florissant, Ferguson, Maryland Heights, St. Ann and Berkeley: the corridor hit by the 1967 F4 and the 2011 Good Friday EF4.

St. Charles County — every storm shelter in unincorporated areas needs a permit; newer slab homes and attached garages; EF3s in 2013 and 2021.

Metro East — Granite City, Edwardsville, Collinsville, Belleville: the American Bottom floodplain, four tornadoes since 2011, above-ground shelter country.
